Announcing MEGA CORAZON

Celebrating National Poetry Month, URBAN-15 presents MEGA CORAZON, a live broadcast featuring 24 of San Antonio’s premier performance poets on Wednesday, April 30th. This event will be available on-line to friends of poetry throughout the country, and even the globe, via our streaming video system.
This event evolved during the production of Carmen Tafolla’s “Mi Pueblo” production in March of this year. The poets who collaborated on that show are the core of MEGA CORAZON.  They have reached out to the community and invited friends who celebrate life through poetry to be a part of this historic gathering.

“Mega Corazon celebrates an essential fact about poetry—Poetry is about heart, as well as truth-telling, community, words released into beautiful motion, the color, courage and timbre of all our diverse voices.  Hear San Antonio, tune in, drop in and out—rejoice, repeat, talk back, listen!  It’s all at Urban 15—San Antonio in rainbow life coming to you over the internets.”
—Sheila Black, Gemini Ink Executive Director, MEGA CORAZON poet
